I wonder what he believes now.<br /><br />In the USA, we do not presently have a population crisis, and I expect we could comfortably increase our population by a large margin, perhaps even tripling it if it doesn't come too fast.<br /><br />I think those views came from poor modelling... which is disturbing in itself.<br /><br />Let's hope that Holdren has a better idea who to trust now. I don't have great confidence in models that don't seriously confront their assumptions.<br /><br />Which brings us of course to global warming. Personally, I think it is very likely to have meaningful human contriubtion to the problem. Global warming is happening, it will have economic consequences. But anyone who claims to have a time-table is bullshitting you or themself.<br /><br />I'd like to see Haldren come out and say that.<br /><br />[The birthrate in Europe sorted itself out without need for legislation.
